First act in Pol'and'Rock 2022 line-up confirmed

Pol'and'Rock Festival is back for its 28th edition, held in a new location - Czaplinek-Broczyno airfield in north-western Poland. The Festival, dubbed the Most Beautiful Festival in the World, will be held from August 4th until August 6th, 2022. The main message of the event, which has a legacy of being the biggest free open-air music festival in Europe, is that of peace and social responsibility.

Tagada Jones travelled more than 32 countries, produced nine studio albums and burnt stages over 1800 times! Undoubtedly one of the only punk bands to go all around the world singing in the French language.

Tagada is also a band that has social, political and independence concerns. As France's alternative music scene's rightful heirs, they are acknowledged by their peers (Bérurier Noir, Parabellum, Les Shériff...) to be the perfect embodiment of the French DIY.

Even if the combo started the adventure 25 years ago as a 100% punk-rock quartet, the songs took a new direction, more electro-punk during a few years with the arrival of a new member at samplers. Nowadays, the band returns to its first love; even if the electro-industrial music side isn't gone, they keep going on composing original powerful punk music.

The band's influences are vast; it goes from English punk to 990'sCalifornian origin forms without forgetting 880'sFrench alternative or metal and hardcore. All of this is controlled, combined and leads to a unique music footprint, the Tagada Jones Style! If the music has evolved, it remains immediately recognisable, mainly due to NNiko'svoice, enraged songs and militant texts. Texts that have also changed over the years but are staying to the first concerns of the band, which are marital violence, unrestrained capitalism, oppression, wars, racism, ecology, politics... The themes remain sober, and the vision is lucid; the whole gives an accurate picture of the present society.

The unifying chorus and the biting guitars allow the band to find a balance between sharpened socio-political consciousness and sonorous virulence. As a result, Tagada Jones established itself as the spearhead in the modern French Punk scene.

Committed, compulsive, bright and spicy, this is the recognisable face of Tagada Jones. The band used the pandemic-forced lull in the live music to work on their tenth album. Released in October 2020, "Feu Et à Sang" shows that the band is ready to make more great music and is prepared to meet with fans.

See you in the pit!
