Leaders of British alternative scene at Pol'and'Rock

Soon after winning the BRIT Award and releasing the Blue Weekend album, acclaimed to be a masterpiece and the band's best record, Wolf Alice will grace the stage of Pol'and'Rock Festival 2022.

Wolf Alice are Ellie Rowsell, Joff Oddie, Joel Amey and Theo Ellis. A decade ago, the band began as a duo of Ellie Rowsell and Joff Oddie, later expanding to a four-piece, with Joel Amey and Theo Ellis joining the group. The band went on to release three critically and chart-topping studio albums. Their style is ever-evolving - their debut has been rooted in gentle folk-inspired pop, but the band went on to incorporate harder and aggressive sounds associated with grunge and shoegaze. The band describes their sound as "rocky pop", but since its formation in 2010, this London-based group has been making waves on the alternative music scene.

In 2022 Wolf Alice won Best Group at the BRIT Awards. In 2021, they saw their third album, Blue Weekend, soar to No.1 in the UK charts, following their Mercury Prize-winning second album, Visions of life, and their 2015 gold-selling debut album, My Love Is Cool. They are the only band nominated for the Mercury Prize for all of their albums.

Since forming, and in addition to winning the BRIT, the band have also picked up a grammy nomination for Best Rock Performance, taken home three NME Awards, and the the2021GQ Award for Best Band. In addition, Wolf Alice has graced the stage at various worldwide festivals, including the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury, Reading & Leeds Festival, Radio 1’s Big Weekend, Coachella, and last summer headlined Latitude Festival. This summer's tour will not only take them on a European arena tour alongside Harry Styles but also feature them at music festivals in Sweden, Spain and the UK. In addition, at the beginning of August, the fans will see the band perform at the 28th edition of the Pol'and'Rock Festival.

Their most recent album Blue Weekend, produced by Markus Dravs (who has worked with Arcade Fire, Björk, Brian Eno, and Florence + The Machine) sees Wolf Alice embrace a newfound boldness and vulnerability in equal measure.

The 28th Pol'and'Rock Festival takes place on August 4-6, 2022 at the premises of the Czaplinek – Broczyno airport, ca. 7 km away from Czaplinek, in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship. Among the already revealed artists of the festival’s line-up this year there are Clutch and Tagada Jones. 28th Pol’and’Rock Festival will take a form of a massive peace manifestation with the main message: NO WAR. The event is open and free.
