Prominent expert on Iran will be our guest at the AFA


Jagoda Grondecka - an expert on Iran, journalist and the Middle Eastern affairs commentator, joins the list of guests at the Academy of the Finest of Arts at the 28th Pol'and'Rock Festival.


Jagoda Grondecka - an expert on Iran, journalist and the Middle Eastern affairs commentator. A graduate of the Institute of International Relations at the University of Warsaw. She gained her professional experience while working in the Polish embassies in Tehran and Islamabad.  

She comes from Głuszyca, Poland, and lives in Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan. Her mission there is to show and explain the reality in that country, especially the everyday life of women. She speaks Farsi and holds interviews in that language with most of the characters from her publications.



Grondecka is associated with Krytyka Polityczna, Liberal Culture, "Gazeta Wyborcza" and "Polityka", well-known and respected media in Poland. Her stories captured a wider audience in August 2021, when she was the only Polish journalist in Kabul covering the Taliban offensive in Afghanistan.


In recognition of her work, Amnesty International awarded Jagoda Grondecka with the 2020 Pióro Nadziei [Eng. “The Pen of Hope”] Media Award. Currently, she is working on a book about Afghanistan.


The meeting with Jagoda Grondecka will be held on August 4, 2022, at 11.30 am.


The patron of the Academy of the Finest of Arts is mBank. The AFA meetings are hosted by the Onet.pl journalists. Among the guests of the Academy of the Finest of Arts announced so far are the Polish actor Marcin Dorociński, Krzysiek Sokołowski from the band Nocny Kochanek, and the creators of the film "Johnny" - a remembrance of Fr. Jan Kaczkowski (i.e. Dawid Ogrodnik, Maciej Kraszewski and Patryk Galewski).



The 28th edition of Pol'and'Rock Festival, which used to be known as Woodstock Festival Poland is billed to take place in Czaplinek-Broczyno Airport in West Pomeranian Voivodeship in Poland between 4-6.08.2022. Among the already revealed artists of the festival’s line-up this year there are Tagada Jones, Limp Bizkit, Clutch, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, Wolf Alice, and Kwiat Jabłoni. 28th Pol’and’Rock Festival will take a form of a massive peace manifestation with the main message: NO WAR. The event is open and free of charge.
