Napalm Death joins the line-up of the 29th Pol’and’Rock Festival!

Grindcore in its pure form at Pol’and’Rock Festival 2023! The British extreme metal band at Czaplinek-Broczyno Airfield will meet with the festivalgoers ready to feel the power of the Campaign For Musical Destruction.

The history of Napalm Death is as intense as their music. The band was formed in Meriden, England, in 1981 by two teenagers experimenting with anarcho-punk music. Till 1982 the initial squad of the group grew to a team of 4 to take multiple turns and swaps over time. And even though none of the band’s original members has remained in the group, the lineup of vocalist Mark „Barney“ Greenway, bassist Shane Embury, guitarist Mitch Harris and drummer Danny Herrera has been consistent for most of the band’s career.

Napalm Death are credited as pioneers of the grindcore genre by incorporating elements of crust punk and death metal, using a noise-filled sound that uses heavily distorted, down-tuned guitars, grinding overdrive bass, high-speed tempo, blast beats, and vocals which consist of incomprehensible growls, or high-pitched shrieks, extremely short songs, fast tempos, and sociopolitical lyrics.

Over four decades and sixteen studio albums later, they set off for the Campaign For Musical Destruction Tour to conquer the US music stage. In 2023, they are coming for Europe! It is a “must-see” at the 29th Pol’and’Rock Festival.
