Rise Of The Northstar to shine on the Main Stage at the 29th Pol'and'Rock Festival!

French metal meets Japanese hardcore! Rise of the Northstar is an extraordinary musical phenomenon emerging from the Parisian metal scene, blending elements of hip-hop, Japanese culture, and hardcore punk. We're thrilled to announce that the band will be joining the lineup for the Main Stage during the 29th edition of Pol'and'Rock Festival!

With millions of streams and views, Rise Of The Northstar is a sensation in the world of metal. Two albums, three EPs (including the 2020 live release, Live In Paris), and hits like Demonstrating My Saiya Style, Here Comes The Boom, Sounds Of Wolves, and Again And Again: ROTN is an explosive fusion of sound and visuals. Their third album, Showdown, boldly declares its one and only goal: to jump, headbang, and mosh!

The musical style of Rise of the Northstar combines '90s New York hardcore with metal, hip-hop elements, and Japanese pop culture, a mix the band themselves call "crossover." They're inspired by metal acts like Rage Against the Machine, Slayer, Suicidal Tendencies, Machine Head, Pantera, and Biohazard, as well as hip-hop artists Wu-Tang Clan, Onyx, and Mobb Deep. Their lyrics tell the story of the band's reality, using references to manga, especially titles like Fist of the North Star, Dragon Ball, Akira, Rookies, and Great Teacher Onizuka.

As vocalist Vithia says, "[...] our uniforms symbolize that all five of us are united in the same goals and stand against the established code of the industry. We have our own codes, our own rules, we create our own path." Currently, the band wears original black uniforms that pay homage to the shōnen manga they grew up with.
