LUIKU will rock the Main Stage of Pol'and'Rock Festival 2023!

A one-of-a-kind music project by Dmytro Tsyperdyuk, a well-known musician and producer, will grace the Main Stage of the Most Beautiful Festival in the World. Save the date! The unforgettable music feast is coming!

LUIKU is a unique band performing a hot gipsy-like Balkan-Ukrainian dance. The pieces woven with the sounds of the accordion, brass instruments and percussion make you move your feet on the spot. The insane fusion of melodies from Ukraine, the Balkans, Turkey, Hungary, and Poland make for a distinctive style, referred to by LUIKU's leader as Trans Carpathian.

The original name of the band comes from the name of the Gypsies Are Found Near Heaven, Loiku Zabara, and a Western Ukrainian word for uncle - vuiko, which perfectly sums up the unmistakable character of the group. The band was created as a soundtrack project for a documentary and subsequently grew into a complete concert programme in the rhythms of world music. Uncommon sound and experimental approach to ethnic beats resemble Dmytro Tsyperdyuk's passion for travels, love for learning new instruments, and his curiosity.

All the songs are composed by Dmytro Tsyperdyuk who together with Dmytro Reshetnik, accordion virtuoso and DJ, works also on the instrumental arrangements. LUIKU perform in a group of wonderful musicians - Roman Dubonos (trumpet), Max Boyko (brass section), Dmytro Khoroshun (percussion), vocalists from the well-known Ukrainian choir Wieriowki - Alina Savchuk and Vita Kostyna, and... a broad range of instruments Bağlama (Saz), Bendir, Cümbüş, Goblet drum (Darbuka) and others.

These vibrant tunes will definitely make you move your body - and dance all your troubles away!
