The festival gates are now open!

The first participants of the 29th Pol'and'Rock Festival have already been welcomed by Jurek Owsiak! As part of the "W" hour, the 79th anniversary of the Warsaw Uprising was commemorated, as every year. Work is still ongoing on the official start of the festival.

The 29th edition of Pol'and'Rock Festival is about to start, first participants of the event were welcomed at noon, on Tuesday 1st of August. Jurek greeted the Festival-goers in a pleasant atmosphere and asked them to take care of themselves while enjoying their time with us.

Festival infrastructure – better than ever

This year's 29th Pol'and'Rock Festival, just like last year, takes place on the grounds of the Czaplinek-Broczyno airfield and this year covers almost 180 hectares. The route from the railway station in Czaplinek to the festival field is approximately 3 km. On this vast area there are, among other things, 49 rubbish containers, four medical points and a field first-aid station located within our Shopping Centre

Sanitary facilities for participants

There are 217 hot water showers and washbasins, 70 toilets and washbasins with hot water, 576 cold water washbasins, 1093 portable toilets and 242 portable washbasins. In addition, we also provide 2 containers and 20 portable toilets for people with disabilities on the field.

Pol'and'Rock Festival app

It is worth remembering the festival application, which is a real must-have. It is provided by Play - a partner of the 29th Pol'and'Rock Festival. Play also takes care of the mobile coverage of the festival-goers on our field, so that they can always check important information and contact their relatives. On the app, visitors can find all the latest and most important information about the event, map the festival, create their own schedule and set reminders so they don't miss their favourite artists' performances. When festival-goers mark their tents on the map, the app will help them find it. It is available for free in the App Store and Google Play shops.

Celebration of the "W" hour

The Pol'and'Rock Festival holds a "W" hour celebration every year. On 1 August, at 17:00, both members of the Peace Patrol and Festival-goers gathered in the area of the Main Stage. Together with Jurek Owsiak, they paid tribute to the heroes who fought for our country 79 years ago. In this unique way, they commemorated those killed in the Warsaw Uprising, which broke out on 1 August 1944.

Every year at this time, the whole Festival comes to a standstill for a few moments – all activities, whether already ongoing or still being prepared are paused for a minute. Pol'and'Rock Festival has always been associated with values such as love and peace. A year ago, the 28th edition of the Festival emphasised opposition to war with the slogan "NO WAR!". This year, these two words are still just as important.

In a moment, in keeping with tradition, we will pay tribute to the 79th anniversary of the outbreak of the Warsaw Uprising. (....) We remember this date very carefully and, regardless of the rain, we will want to invite everyone to the front of the stage to commemorate this event by playing the song "Hour W" by the band Lao Che and sounding the siren – which became our annual tradition.
