A crowd of 5,000 people is running through the streets of Warsaw. What is the purpose of organizing the race during the Grand Finale?
This event has only one important goal – drawing attention to the problem of diabetes. Runners are collecting funds for insulin pumps for pregnant women and women planning their pregnancies by buying the starter packs for the Get Even with Diabetes Race.
Runners can decide whether they want to cover the distance virtually or in an ordinary way. Their choice depends on whether they will run anywhere in the world or with other competitors in Warsaw. Certainly, any form of participation in our race deserves loud applause!
Five thousand people were checked-in on the race start list in Warsaw. Over 6,300 people participate in the virtual activity, and the starting list for this one is still open. Overall, we will engage more than 11,000 runners worldwide in the 17th Get Even with Diabetes Race. Our runners in characteristic orange T-shirts can be spotted in 19 countries all over the world, i.e., the Philippines and Saudi Arabia.

By buying an entry pack, every participant in the race donates funds for insulin pumps, thanks to which women with diabetes have a chance for a safe and peaceful pregnancy. Since 2014, the GOCC Foundation has purchased 272 devices as part of the Personal Insulin Pumps for Pregnant Women with Diabetes Programme. Thanks to the funds from each edition of the race, the amount of available devices is continuing to grow.
The main sponsor of the race is Dawtona. The company has prepared a tube scarf and a healthy mousse for runners, which will supplement the caloric deficit after the race. Each participant will find these products in their running package. Dawtona also released a limited edition of their famous tomato juice with a Grand Finale label.
