Can you feel the love between Festivalgoers!

First wedding took place at the 29th Pol'and'Rock Festival. Dominika and Romek got married in the Festival Press Centre. The wedding was officiated by an official from the Registry Office in Czaplinek – Mrs Małgorzata Federowiak-Nowacka. 

The event itself was so unique and moving that organisers decided to repeat it this year. They have worked out the details and today not one, but eleven weddings of the Festival-goers happened!

A wedding ceremony is always a beautiful event. However, it has even bigger meaning during the Most Beautiful Festival in the World. Not even the biggest celebrities have so many witnesses and guests at their weddings!  

All the couples looked absolutely fantastic today! It was easy to guess that they were Pol’and’Rock Festival-goers! The brides-to-be wore white, black and coloured wedding dresses. Agnes company sewed seven of them. They didn't forget Festival accessories either – garlands on their heads, colourful make-up and even our Festival sneakers from SiemaShop! The grooms also featured some colourful, crazy outfits. One couple had a pirate costume!

The brides and grooms, together with their loved ones, gathered at the Wedding Palace in the West Pomeranian zone. Zone organisers created the Palace especially for the event! In this magical setting, couples were welcomed by Jurek Owsiak with Lidia Niedźwiedzka-Owsiak and several special guests. Katarzyna Szlońska-Getka, i.e. the Mayor of Czaplinek, Olgierd Geblewicz, i.e. the Marshall of the West Pomeranian Voivodeship, and Małgorzata Fedorowiat-Nowacka, i.e. the head of the Registry Office in Czaplinek were among them.
One by one, the couples vowed their love to each other. Their loved ones cheered them bravely, sang to them and rejoiced with them! There were also tears of emotion and great joy!

Couples who got married during the 30th Pol'and'Rock Festival:

Eleven couples are the only couples who got married on the grounds of the 30th Pol'and'Rock Festival. But not the only ones who did it today in Czaplinek. Seven couples got married today at the local Registry Office. 

At the end of the wedding ceremony, guests, organisers and officials sang a “Hundred year” (Polish counterpart to “Happy Birthday”) to the newlyweds, and Jurek Owsiak wished them well. Each couple received wedding gifts from the West Pomeranian zone and a glass of symbolic champagne.

Jurek Owsiak said that he was hooked by a couple of Festivalgoers today. They mentioned that they got married ten years earlier in Czaplinek and were celebrating their anniversary today. Organizers wish the newlyweds a happy 10th anniversary, hoping they will celebrate it at the 40th Pol'and'Rock Festival!

After the ceremony and commemorative photos, the brides and grooms set off to dance the polonaise with the rest of the Festivalgoers. Special guests led the dance. The first pairs were the Marshal of the West Pomeranian Voivodeship, the Mayor of Czaplinek and the head of the Registry Office in Czaplinek.

Organisers often write about the Festival traditions that started years ago. And today, a new custom has formed. Last year's couple, Dominika and Romek, paved the way for this tradition.
