The wait is almost over. Although the official opening of the 32nd Pol'and'Rock Festival takes place today, the Festival site has already been buzzing with life since the gates opened on Tuesday
At exactly 12:00 on Tuesday, Jurek Owsiak officially welcomed the first festivalgoers, who immediately began setting up their tents and settling into what will once again become one of the happiest places on Earth. By Wednesday there was lots going on at the Festival grounds.
Most Festival zones and the Shopping Centre were fully operational, with long queues forming throughout the day at popular spots such as SiemaShop and the Allegro zone. At 4:00 PM, members of the Domowa Orkiestra online show received their certificates from Jurek Owsiak during a special ceremony. Later in the evening, following the live broadcast of It's About to Be Dark ("Zaraz Będzie Ciemno"), Jurek met with members of the programme's fan club. During his appearance on Antyradio, he also announced that applications are now open for the 18th Emerging Bands Competition for the 33rd Pol'and'Rock Festival, inviting bands from across Poland to submit their entries.
Wednesday also marked the first live performances of this year's Festival. As part of the AFA Night Stage, the Second Stage welcomed Basia Giewont, Paulina Przybysz - Jazz, and Voo Voo. Festivalgoers turned out in great numbers, the weather was on our side, and the atmosphere proved to be the perfect warm-up for everything still to come.
