The band from Sheffield, dominating the British metalcore scene, joins the line-up of the 29th Pol'and'Rock Festival! A revolutionary message, energetic guitar riffs and genre diversity - While She Sleeps will play on the Main Stage of the Most Beautiful Festival in the World!
Most bands prefer to tread carefully in the music industry. While She Sleeps has never belonged to the "most bands" category. The Sheffield quintet made a name for itself by mixing genres and defying stereotypes. For years, the band efficiently mixed crushing metal with melodic hardcore, drawing heavily on the tradition of metalcore.

The band consists of five energetic friends - Lawrence "Loz" Taylor (vocals), Sean Long (guitar), Mat Welsh (guitar), Aaran McKenzie (bass guitar) and Adam Savage (drums). Together, creating While She Sleeps, they redefined intransigence. Opposing the industry's commercialized guidelines, the band decided to release their third album You Are We (2017) using donations and fans' support.
The band's lyrics often deal with political and social issues, with an emphasis on problems such as inequality, corruption and the impact of technology on society. The group approaches these topics directly and passionately, writing songs that are cathartic and thought-provoking.
The band is the winner of Kerrang! magazine's Best British Newcomer awards (2012) and Heavy Music Award for Best Album for You Are We (2017)
The band has released 5 studio albums: This Is the Six (2012), Brainwashed (2015), You Are We (2017), So What? (2019) and the latest release, Sleeps Society (2021). All the albums have been critically acclaimed, but the band gained the greatest recognition for their dynamic and energetic live concerts.
While She Sleeps releases featured artists such as Oli Sykes (Bring Me The Horizon) and Simon Neil (Biify Clyro)!
