48 days before the Summer Blaze in January, Jurek Owsiak announced another batch of artists who will perform at the Warsaw concert of the 33rd Grand Finale of GOCC, during his weekly radio show. On January 26th, legends of Polish alternative music will take the stage at the PGE Narodowy meadows: Sztywny Pal Azji, Mr Zoob, and the beloved Wojtek Szumański, known to the Pol'and'Rock Festival's Audience.
Mr Zoob – A Classic of the Polish Alternative Scene
Mr Zoob has been spreading positive energy for over four decades, blending rock, ska, and reggae sounds. Songs like ‘Kartka dla Waldka’ [eng. "A card to Wojtek"] and ‘Mój jest ten kawałek podłogi’ [eng. "Mine is this piece of floor"] have become symbols of the early Polish alternative scene, and their unique sound continues to attract fans of all generations. The band’s journey began in 1983 in Koszalin, and their career quickly gained momentum through performances at festivals like Jarocin and the National Youth Song Festival in Opole.
During the 33rd Grand Finale, Mr Zoob will once again prove why they’ve been celebrated on the Polish music scene for so many years. The band performed on the Main Stage of the 28th Pol’and’Rock Festival in 2022—a live recording of this concert is available in SiemaShop in both CD and vinyl editions.
