Grand Finale Objective Revealed

Because helping is child's play!

27th Grand Finale charitable fundraiser will take place on Sunday, January 13th, 2019. The objective of the collection will be raising funds to purchase state-of-the-art equipment for specialist children’s hospitals in Poland. There are almost 50 medical facilities where children suffering from serious medical conditions can be diagnosed and then treated by qualified medical staff. Little patients are referred to these hospitals from all over the country. In order for these hospitals to provide sophisticated treatment, the hospitals require modern, and consequently, very expensive medical equipment.

Medicine is moving rapidly forward. New, better equipment is available and possibilities it offers are endless - in speeding up treatment and diagnosis processes. Our decision to purchase this equipment means that we will continue to improve the conditions in Polish hospitals. We will be raising money to buy the equipment for specialist children's hospitals!

The charity will be focusing its attention on specialized diagnostics units - first and foremost medical imagining, radiology, and laboratory units at Polish public hospitals for children. Depending on the result of the worldwide charitable collection, the board of the Foundation might decide to broaden the scope of medical purchases and help hospitals finance bigger investments, such as MRI examination rooms and sterilization rooms for hospitals. Our main objective, however, is to make sure that the staff working at specialist hospitals have access to the devices presenting the latest developments in medical science.

Our volunteers have always been the moving force of our initiative and for 26 years we have known that we can rely on them. Even when faced with absurdities of our realities in Poland, their enthusiasm, support and commitment to the cause give us the strength to keep going and keep us believing in our mission to help kids in Polish hospitals!

Grand Finale is organized locally by groups of volunteers working in regional Collection Centres and just like in the previous years, there will be nearly 1700 Collection Centres coordinating the work of 120 000 volunteers. Collection Centres are based around the world, wherever there's a thriving Polish community looking to come together and "play" in aid of children in Poland!
