Today, at 16:00 Jurek Owsiak took part in a grand opening of a 3.5-meter high mirror sculpture of a heart in Łódź, in the square recently named after the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity Foundation.
After a long journey, the great silver heart reached its final destination in Łódź, a city located in central Poland, to grace one of the city's main squares. The sculpture was produced in China, by the Sino Sculpture Group. The artists are famous for their projects in New York and Los Angeles.
Jurek Owsiak, the Chairman of the Board of the GOCC Foundation, together with the GOCC Collection Centres Staff, took part in the grand opening of the new landmark on the map of Łódź. The event was attended by the representatives of the local authorities.
The stainless steel sculpture was mirror polished in a way that you can see your reflection on the seamless surface of the heart. Thanks to the special technique of installing the artwork, it seems that it emerges straight from the ground.
